Los grupos bogotanos de la segunda ola del "rock nacional" (ekhymosis cuando juanes no era un vendido haciendo tropipop, 1280 almas, ultrágeno, pestilencia (la pesti, para los del centro), danny dodge, pepa fresa juanita dientes verdes. . .) tenían canciones de este estilo. Recreaban lugares y fechas de nuestra historia (la referencia mas clara de "el platanal" es la masacre de las bananeras en 1928. Hecho histórico que Gabriel garcía Márquez también usó en su novela 100 años de soledad).

1280 almas ocupa un lugar my especial en mis historias. Y el logo es lo MEEEEEEJJJJJOOOORRRR que he visto en el diseño gráfico colombiano relacionado con la música.

Es tan solo una opinión mía y por lo tanto parcializada.

En este album que se llama "ekhymosis" hay unas cancionsososososososototas donde colaboran saúl hernandez (cantante fundador de las insólitas imágenes de aurora o mejor conocidos como "caifanes"), y Gustavo santaolaya fue el productor (el mezcló y produjo la canción y el album de cafá tacuba "las flores"). . .

Y cuando creíamos que la iba a sacar del estadio con el 5 albúm. De malas se separaron y nos dejaron mamando.

Y tarán salió "juanes". . . aún lo estoy esperando. . . la reunión de la alineación original de ekhymosis. Si esperé 16 años por comprar su cd "ciudad pacífico". . creo que puedo esperar otros. . . 10 o 20 años a que se reúnan.

It takes me back to la plaza de bolivar de manizales, I was just a rebellious preteen with a nose ring and jet black hair...... probably the first girl in manizales history to walk around the streets with piercings on her face.... now you see all these wannabe's thinking they are rebels because they have a little stud on their nose.... lol.

The main act that night... was Ricardo Arjona. Ekymosis were the pelagatos, the nobodies doing the opening act and I was there JUST for them. I loved them because they were still so unknown.
