Just got a ticket LAX to MDE for Christmas for under $800 US

Happy newbie here. The dollar is on the rise and I found a decent price on a round-trip ticket from Los Angeles to Medellin from Orbitz....Get em while you still can.
I will be staying in Medellin for two weeks. Anyone have any recommendations for New Years eve? Wondering where it might be fun to celebrate the año nuevo.
