#1 With PAYPAL card ONLY charges $1 per transaction but shittier rate!
Debit Card ATM Withdrawal From AV.5 NORTE #23AN 4 Cali Dec. 2, 2008 Completed Details -$391.84 USD -$1.00 USD 900,000cop comes out to 2296.8
#2 With WAMU platinum debit card! Charges 1% but better rate!
12/2/2008 AV.5 NORTE #23AN 49 CALI 1202 M $64.66 for 150,000cop comes out to 2319.8 .64 cents foreign transaction fee..
So you see it does vary for which card you use. So people here who say they get NO FEES probably are getting the worser rate with the F.T.F built in already.

ColombianoGringo (Moderator) (Trustee board) (☼Travelguide writer) says on Dec 2, 2008, 15:54: My experience with Capital One has been that even if you don't keep the minimum balance, they only charge you $1.50 for ATM withdrawals in Colombia. The rates I've gotten have always been in line with the current TRM exchange rates. I only use the account for withdrawals in Colombia so I don't always keep the $1,000 minimum. It's still a good deal. I'm so hip, I have difficulty seeing over my pelvis. 0 funny, 0 helpful. |
