Does anybody know the cost of living in Bogota vs. Armenia ?
Also does anybody know anything else to do that makes more money besides teaching english ? If so what is it and how much can you make ? I am also wondering what the difference in pay is for teaching english in Bogota vs. Armenia.
Thanks.

Rikito says on May 12, 2008, 16:28: It's cheaper to live in Armenia. Housing is less, so is transportation and utility services, but salaries are much lower. The only jobs in Armenia for foreign workers are in English and Medicine, but you better have some good qualifications. Also, you must have very good health. It is not life that matters, but the journey. |

Bogota is the financial hub of Colombia and with a CFA and strong investment knowledge, you should have a good chance of landing an entry level position at the fund, brokerage, investment bank, etc. They said I couldn't play football I was too small / They say I couldn't play basketball I wasn't tall / They say I couldn't play baseball at all / And now everyday of my life I ball. |

It won't be cheap, but you kill two birds with one stone a) you give yourself time to learn the language and b) you establish credibility by having a solid degree.
