It's time to hit the road.

I have been notified that I have made a personal attack on someone in here named "huskie." If you read her profile and past comments you might understand how difficult it is to believe virtually anything she says. I also disagree with the double standard that has been imposed on me so I guess it's time to go on down the road. Few people in here know who I am, but those that do know me understand how much I care about Colombia and its people. My wife told me that she never knew anyone who was willing to defend Colombianos the way I do. I have a passion for this country and virtually all things Colombian. But it is difficult to express your feelings when the comments of one person are given more weight than another regardless of the rules.

I saw PBH as a wonderful site to discuss topics about travel in Colombia, but in recent months travel in Colombia is virtually the least thing that is discussed. Just read the headlines for a few pages and you can judge for yourself. When I criticized “huskie,” about submitting inappropriate copywriter material I was the person who was chastised. When I tried to defend myself, I was given a warning after several years of making what I felt were valuable on topic material. For laughs, compare what I have written to what “huskie” has written. I am certainly no literary wizard, but what I commented on was heartfelt, honest, and truthful.

The new mission and values of this site (or lack of) has driven away several valuable contributors whose names are too long to list here. Those of you who have been around for awhile know who they are. So take care all of you and remember that Colombia is one of the most beautiful place on earth and the Colombianos who make this country what it is show us every day what true passion means.

…and so it goes, right elmo?

Why take it so seriously, if you love Colombia enough, you will tolerate people like Huskie, so I second Ujay when saying, deal with it and man up

life is too short for squabbles

ujay, by that way of thinking, every place of the earth is not beautiful.

Parts of every place have beauty and ugliness. So, according to your thinking, every place on earth is ugly.

Sorry, not true.

Just because you have been to Colombia, that does NOT mean that you are anywhere near an expert on the place. Sorry. Truth hurts.

"Woah Woman, oh woman, don't treat me so mean,
You're the meanest old woman that I've ever seen.
I guess if you said so
I'd have to pack my things and go. (That's right)"
(...)
"Now baby, listen baby, don't ya treat me this-a way
Cause I'll be back on my feet some day."
