Israelis Helped Secure Betancourt's Escape From FARC rebels

THANK YOU, ISRAEL: The Israeli media savored the moment when French-Colombian politician Ingrid Betancourt, seen here attending a ceremony in her honor at the French National Assembly in Paris after her release, refered to Israeli help in gaining her freedom, along with 14 other hostages, from the Colombian FARC rebel group. JERUSALEM -- Former Revolutionary Armed Forces of Columbia (FARC) hostage, Columbian-French politician Ingrid Betancourt Pulecio was freed recently in a spectacular derring-do operation by Columbian security forces – with the help of ex-Israeli commandos.
