Isla

Isla Las Palmas

Has anybody on the board been there before. I hear that it is a two hour boat ride to get there from Cartagena.

My girl booked a 4 day three night stay on this tiny island.

What is there to do besides the usual?

I guess I better pack the sex toys. jejeje!

Isla It is 2 hours & can be longer if the waves are bad. Make sure you visit the bathroom before boarding the boat & carry something to drink with you because you will get thirsty. The food is really pretty good. They have open bar which moves from place to place depending on the time of day. Drink up because it is included in the price. The rooms are not bad. Tv, fan, chairs, nice bed. They have an area where you can feed dolphins, a nature trail around the island that is kinda nice. You can snorkel or rent a kayak or lay on the beach in the free lounge chairs. Their is also a little bar on the beach so you can have drinks while you are watching the other guests. They put on a late night show in an open air theater that is really pretty good. It changes each night & really that is about all their is to do at night besides drink. They have an open at this too. You will notice that the waiters and hotel staff are also the entertainers at the late night show. All the employees do many different things. I went there with my girl from Barranquilla & her 2 sisters & still 2 days was plenty. You can also take a boat tour (which we did) around some of the neighboring islands & you can see some really interesting sights. But unless you just absolutely love sitting on the beach doing nothing, you will probabaly be ready to leave after 2 days..

ISLA PALMA The above report is what I feel , highly Inaccurate.

Firstly they provide snacks and Beverages on the boatride and the ride is 2 Hours on a very good boat.

The Rooms and Food are first Class for Colombia , Its Buffet style , but they have excellent fresh food , they even fry fresh Calamari in front of you.

The resort is all Inclusive , that includes all food beverages and even cigarettes.

It is designated more as a Honeynmoon resort , If you want sex sun and sand forget Isla Palma , its a place where you go to relax.

The Hotel has 40 rooms , the rooms are great and spacey and you will get very good service.

The Beach is great and has a bar , you will not have to fight for beach chairs. You can even have a massage on the beach.

My first trip with Decameron Aquarium in San Andres was a dissapointment but the trip to Isla Palma more then made up for that.

HIGHLY RECOMMENDED.
