Yes Just found out too, the Mayor of Bogotá has said that due to the proximity of elections and being Labor day tomorrow, he wants to play it safe making sure all the protests by the unions tomorrow are held in peace. Basically the rallies tomorrow which are held every year, could turn sorrow if the anti Uribe sentiment by these trade unions and alcohol mix.

GringoD It was actually thought about it, but the damage to the rural tourism industry (which in itself has never really developed due to well known reasons) would be quite large, that is why they decided to move holidays to Mondays instead of simply taking them away.

The waitress today in Crepes said that next week is another ley seca, for election reasons. I thought they were the 28th, but she said, that there is still a ley seca this week end coming. My spanish is crap so may have heard wrong - anyone with more info?
