Is there any cure for those Cali car alarms?

In the downtown of Cali where I live, not 2 mintues go by during the day when there isn't a car alarm sounding somewhere. The WheeWheeWheeWhee sound can be heard from a kilomter away. From my balcony, I can see some of the cars with the alarms on. One had the driver in it. Maybe the alarm is more entertaining than the radio? One was set off by a passing car. One was set off by the lady yelling "Aguacate!". One is in our apartment's underground garage and is set off by my dropping a garbage bag down the chute. One was a passing taxi who had rewired his car alarm to be his horn. It's making me want to leave the country to get away from the sound of car alarms. What can be done? Cali is being ruined by one bad alarm installer.

No solution, only empathy That exact same thing used to happen with a car alarm in the carpark of our apto building in Cali. I swear you could look at the car and the alarm would turn on! Unfortunately, I don't think there is any solution, as it happens here in Melbourne too. Just think about any shopping centre (mall) carpark, you will always here one...but at least you don't tend to be there at 3 in the morning.
