SiV says on Apr 14, 2008, 08:51: Colombians are perfectly capable of becoming obese on their own, home-grown comida chatarra. . . empanadas, papa alborojadas, marranitas, papa rellena, chicharron, chunculo, etc. Stultórum númere infinitum est. 0 funny, 0 helpful. |

Mononoke28 says on Apr 14, 2008, 09:21: Yeah, even though they have our own share of burger and fries joints on top of the pre-existing fritangas, empanadas, pastel de pollo, and Frisby joints, they still manage to look thin. God only knows how much grease is going through their veins but they still look good. Diana 0 funny, 0 helpful. |

Tinto (Moderator) (Trustee board) says on Apr 14, 2008, 09:46: Yes, I think the ranking for Mexico is No. 2 for obesity and might be No. 1 for diabetes, at least among large, relatively "open" countries. Other studies (I've only glanced at the headlines) have Saudia Arabia or one of the United Arab Emirates at the top. I wanted access to health care, housing and education, but, no, I get potholes, trash and silicone tits instead. -Desi. 0 funny, 0 helpful. |

Lowell says on Apr 15, 2008, 09:28: Oil in veins. The other month I bought and prepared some of those french fries and yuca sticks that are sold in the frozen food area of stores. After frying them in my good oil and after the oil cooled off, I noticed that the surface of my oil had a layer of semi thick white grease floating on top of it. The temp in my house is usually around 75F and the stuff had hardened. Palm oil? Alfred E. Newman. "What. Me Worry?" 0 funny, 0 helpful. |
