Is the movie Rosario Tijeras available on DVD?

in Colombia yet? I know the last new release of it will be this month in Cuba, i believe, but if anyone in Colombia has happened to see it on DVD at any of the DVD or Video rental places? My lawyer in Manizales says he has it on video only......thanks!

Black Market It's being sold on the streets for COP5.000 or so, on DVD not VCD.

Or head to any San Andresito type of place in the Colombia city near you.

My DVD copy is very clear.

Yes, it's available in most major Colombian cities. I'm getting the original shipped next month. It will have the English subtitles. I'll let you know the price when it arrives.

Any others on Netflix? Do you have any other recommendations for Colombian movies that are 2003 + and can be found on Netflix?

netfix recommendation Brian585, you should check out a movie called Rodrigo D (rodrigo de no futura) not sure which one it is listed as. It is set in Medellin in the 1980s and follows some punkeros around their daily life. I liked it. Maria Full of Grace is also based on a book by the guy who wrote Rosario Tijeras, Jorge Franco. It is about a girl from Medellin who works as a mule and goes to NYC. I like Rodrigo D better but they were both above average.

Also I started to read Rosario Tijeras based on a recommendation of Miguel_clavo. It was pretty cheap to get a used copy on amazon, and it I am really liking it. another book that this author wrote, and they based Maria full of Grace on is called paradise travel or parisio travel, something like that. The author is jorge Franco.

Rodrigo D I watched the first hour of the movie. I got a copy from a friend from Barranquilla. The DVD stopped playing after the first hour. I would have liked to see the end it was getting real good. But the scenes seemed kind of dark.

Rodrigo D Yes it is a darker movie, but I liked it. I thought it did a good job of showing a lost teenager with no direction, and what life could be like when surrounded by others in the same position. I liked the movie though, because it was not over the top and did not glorify their life of crime. They were not victims of their circumstances, but they were influenced by them, and it really showed how they were disconnected from "regular" life.
