Is Laureles a nice area in Medellin?

I am having a hard time finding a place to stay in Medellin, my group has grown to 6 that will be traveling to Medellin. I can not find any reasonable price hotel/Motel house. Medellin might be the second most important city in Colombia but there are hardly any apartments for rent. Only 3 of us are comming from the USA, so I a not willing to pay for the hotel for my colombian friends. If I can find an apartment for $100-%150 it will be great. Yet I don't think I will be able to accomplish it.

Everything for Bogota, Cali and Cartagena is already set...yet Medellin is giving my problems.

Also, how far and how nice is Laureles from Parque Lleras and sorrounding nightlife area? To be specific from Circular 4. No 68-70. As always, thank you!

Laureles is a nice area, in the evenings 10 mins or so in a taxi to Parque Lleras.

There are also plenty of bars, discos & restaurants spread around Laureles, especially on Calle 33 and other streets.

My wife's apartment is not in but very close to Laureles. I like it a lot.

Disclaimer: any comment I make is inane and is not to be taken seriously, and is so patently ridiculous that no one should take it seriously, even as an insult.

Is "El Parque Llera" where all the resturants, bars and clubs are around a park and it gets full of people. Becuase I visited there and could not remember the name. Is this how you spell it and what is the name of area? Because I problably will visit there on my next vacation in August or December.

Thank you,
