Is Itagui Medellin safe.

I'm going to Itagui in a few months for 2weeks,but am a little concerned of what some people have told me about Colombia. I mean you do hear the news every so often about stuff that goes out there, but I'm from Los Angeles and let me tell you it's not that safe either. I would appreciate any tips from someone about how Itagui is and what to look out for. I really am looking forward to going out there.

Pelonskee323 I was just there yesterday for a meeting. Itagui is just a suburb of south Medellin that is mostly industrial in nature with residental blended in to the west. If you can survive in LA you won't have a problem in ITAGUI.
