Is it necessary to bring actual degree to Colombia??

Hey alllll, I will be makin the move to Colombia in a few months and I was wondering if, in your experiences, did you feel it was necessary to bring your degree if you had one? Will employers accept a photocopy of the degree and/or college transcripts?? Thanks for your advice :)

LOL, that's hilarious and kinda true.

But anyway, if you do decide to bring your degree with you, it will have to be apostilled and translated in most cases.

copies of your degree would be fine although it really depends what you are going to work on in here.

Alas Coomeva is ok but there are definitely better private health insurances in the country like Suramericana (new image too) or even Liberty with their MD Plan, those cover everything.

To work as a english teacher, I didn't need my original.

Not sure about teaching , but the company where I work wanted the original and I had to provide my degree with the apostle seal and authorized translation to get my works visa.

Here is what you do.

Get a copy of it. Then take the copy and the original to your nearest Colombian consul and have them notarize the copy. Then bring copy.

Bring original in case copy does not work.

A scanned copy is better for toilet paer, much softer.

Why don'yt you ask your employer? Putting the cat before the horse . (That's optimism I guess).
