Is it cheaper to buy a cell phone from Medellin or bring a phone from home (Canada)?

Ahda007 depending on the cell phone you are buying... depending on the item itself... I gave one of my ex-girlfriends in colombia a cell phone bought in Mexico, and she was able to use it with the local sms card... Movistar... what I would recommend is that you contact somebody in colombia from movistar and / or Comcel and ask if the cell phone you want to bring to Colombia can be "modified" as to be used in Colombian territory with that company.

ah, they like the gold ones too, but i bought my woman the pink one for anti-theft purposes...most of the ladrones in colombia are male are less like going to covet a pink phone (unless it's he steals it for another female, of course).

Bought a phone with an Ola sim card for 25,000 invluding 10,000 minutes. Have also bought a Nokia comcel with 20,000 minutes for about 70,000 k. Now i use my 4 band!!
