is anyone in Cartagena right now? 1st trip and im lost as HELL haha

This is my first trip to any spanish speaking country before and im lost as HELL. i was planning on at least SOME people being able to speak english. My spanish is VERY limited, but i thought it would be enough.....i was painfully wrong.

Im staying at the Hotel Viajero...honestly pretty bad and looking for a new place also.

Is anyone here that would mind showing me the ropes or anything??

My cell is +16148326674

JC, I arrive late tomorrow afternoon in Carta and can answer some of your questions, etc. I've sent you an email and voicemail with some contact info.

Check out a bed and brkfst. called Casa Relax. It's in Getsamani. It's on the net. Alot of Foreigners stay there. Beautiful pool. Cab ride anywhere for $4 US. They speak English. The street that CasaRelax is on has anything you could want. It's 9 blocks long. Just walk up and down the street a few times and you will see.

Hola!

REMEMBER MY POST?

Visit http://www.casaviena.com/precios.htm and notice how affordable they are for you!

If they are filled, they tell you where you can get other affordable places to stay nearby! Plenty of foreigners there to hang out with you, even if you can not stay there! Go back and then have a nice time with your new friends!

Go to casa viena (but not to stay!) the staff speak English and can book you on to tours. I highly recommend the mud volcano tour. You'll meet up with English speaking travellers at the hostel and on the tour and off you go.

Get your phone unlocked. You can use a different sim in Colombia and you can still use your AT&T chip when you return home.
