Iphone for sale

Question for everyone. My family is all from medellin, i live in Boston. they want me to visit, but money is a little tight. I was thinking though, how easy is it to bring down products to try to sell and pay for my trip. I was thinking a couple of iphones, maybe a laptop. I would be going down in january, anyone know what they go for, or who i could sell to?

I would try the laptop. THEY ARE FREAKIN EXPENSIVE IN COLOMBIA!!!

Smile if you are a thinker!

Some laptops are expensive in Colombia. I went to the mall and the price for a Laptop was the same in the US. You have to be careful.

You should have a buyer lined up already with some kind of secure deposit. There was a PBH member that had a laptop he could not sell after his original buyer backed out of the deal. Laptops drop in price around every two to three months.

Good Luck.

Hola!

Omega 3 is a better thing to take to Colombia. In Cali 60 capsules of 1000 mg cost 20,000 and Nature Made Omega 3 costs $5 for 120 capsules for 1200 mg and can sell for 40,000 pesos, so that's a $15 profit and customers or friends get 20% potency more than available there.

Pregnant women and Senior Citizens are your market!

So that's why my aunt told me to bring a lot of Omega 3. Didn't know that. About selling, my cousin told me to bring everthing, and he'll help me sell. (my spanish is not perfect). We'll see what i'll do.

Iphone would be great. But make sure its unlocked... Ive seen very few here..

jgiraldo says on Nov 21, 2007, 17:18:

but how safe is selling down there. Iphone let's say i sell for a million pesos, what's the best way to do the transaction. Open a bank account, (or family's) and have them deposit it there. Or sell to a store in the Hueco, or san andresito, and bring one of my cousins so i try not to get taken for a ride. I've also seen the ebay in colombia, mercadolibre, how could i use that?

can you use an iphone there? bf is returning to colombia and thought it might make a good christmas gift. but he isn't sure it can be connected there.

I just returned from Bogota where I was using my iPhone. I got so many compliments on it, you wouldn't believe. I was using it on the Movistar network with no problems using a SIM I kept from the last time I visited.

Of course I unlocked the iPhone before I came down to Colombia. Once you've unlocked it, you should have no problems. A quick google search of iphone unlock anysim should point you in the right direction.

Did the internet work on your iPhone? Or just the phone service? And what was the billing like?

donmia says on Dec 3, 2007, 12:12:

thanks for the tip on the iphone. there's a colombian out there who is going to be VERY happy and VERY surprised when he opens up his christmas present

The Internet did not work via Edge. It did work in the apartment I was staying in via Wi-Fi (of course).

Billing was pre-paid on Movistar. In the six days I was there, I added a total of 20k pesos to my phone. Lasted me through many calls and text messages.
