PBH / colombia (travelguide, pictures) / post |
Hi all. I have seen the PBH site before when I did Google searches, but just the other day investigated and joined. Looks like a great place with a good variety of experiences traveling and living in South America, Colombia. I just took my 3rd trip to Colombia for 2 weeks in early October. It was great and I am already doing my preliminary planning for my next trip. So far I have only been in Bogota and the Santa Marta area. I don’t want to get in a rut always going back to the same place every year. What are some interesting cities to visit? What sights are a must see?
This last trip I was in Bogota 1 week and then went to Santa Marta 1 week. I visited the old part of Bogota. Went to Monserrate. The salt mine. In Santa Marta we went to Taganga, I had to go Scuba..:) Rodadero and Santa Marta shopping ;( for my wife. hahaha. The ocean was nice but not as much to see there. What are some recommendations for my next trip? I am also using these trips as scouting trips for a place to retire. I love the ocean near Santa Marta but am not sure I could take the hot weather 24/7. The climate in Bogota is nice but I like the ocean.. lol.. I have some cool pictures but im not sure now how to stick them in here, but one im around here a while I will figure it all out. ;)

Unless scumbuster wants to only hear the comments from those of us who like to play in the basement! "It is now official: there's no place on earth where you will not find a Peruvian band." There were some nice hotsprings too. Medellin and Cartagena would definitly be good, route with a lot of diversity in culture too. ************* WARNING ************* my words often come from my ass 0 funny, 0 helpful. |
