Internet Service Providers in Bogota

Buenas Dias

I am trying to gather information on ISPs in Bogota. Can anyone give me links to high-speed ISPs for corporate use in Bogota?

Thank You for your help

Sorry 1 more thing If you have experience using these ISPs can you let me know who seems reliable and who is just crap? And approximately what the monthly cost might be.

Thanks again

Yep Short answer: in your dreams. Or my dreams, really.

ETB DSL only goes up to 256k down, and something like 64-128k up. That's the premium, 150,000 pesos/month service. It's not a static IP, either - I don't know what it'd take to swing that. But it is flat-rate, always-on, and very reliable, and you can bet they'll offer higher speeds over time as the infrastructure improves.

Like GiB said, Cablenet is typically faster, but not as reliable. It also depends on where you are, and how lucky you get on your loop of cable. I had a friend two years ago whose Cablenet service usually ran at about 28.8k speed, and sometimes worse than that. I'm sure it's improved in his area (or building, who knows) since then, but still, you never can be sure with cable.

OH Des and others who's interested in my departure from the cold
I'm waiting for some contracts to get back here that needs my "fingerprint" and 1-2 weeks of work/planning then I'm out-a-here ASAP.

you've done so much planning ahead johan that I think your head must be spinning. Where's your sense of adventure?

he he ... you got that a little wrong ..... The things I mention above on the stuff that needs my fingerprint and planning is work-related ;-)

And just to tease you a litte (DES). My travel is more of a explorative/holiday travel than a lot of adventure. But I'll probably experience all at different times on my way.
