Bussiness in Colombia Hi There,
I'm also thinking of opening a bussiness in Colombia. What do you think of opening up a computer bussiness, i.e., getting computers from the USA/CANADA and selling it in Colombia. I was even thinking of doing this in Ecudore but I was looking for a partner. How old are you, and are you male or female, I hope you don't mind? You can also contact me at; artist_8 at hotmail.com
Hope to hear from you soon...
Cheers:)

computer parts Several years ago, I looked into the possibility
of buying computer parts, here in the U.S. and
taking them to Colombia for resale. I checked into
prices here and compared them to what a computer
shop (in Cali) was buying them for. It appeared to
me that it wasn't worth the effort.

Computer parts Actually it depends on which part you are going to ring. For example. it a good idea to bring video cards, memories, accesories in general (keyboards and mouse) depending on where you get the parts. You should get the US$ 2 keyboards and US$ 4 mouse. Some people prefer brand names but most uf us would be happy with cheap accesories. Overall, CPU's ain't good idea. Sometimes i buy in Miami in computer fairs and bring the here with good prices.
Also try to setup a computer case's factory. I have the whole plans for it, only need money. It's a good business.

Computer Bussiness. Hey,
I like your plan. In what city in Colombia are you planning on setting up the bussiness. I think you're right about not worrying about the CPU and only concentrat on selling memories, accesories, accesories, etc. Are you from the USA, if so, what city are you from? I'm actually from Toronto. Do you have your education in the computer related field? I did my major in Computer Science from University of Toronto and I was actually thinking of starting a computer bussiness in Colombia. Have you been to Toronto before? I was thinking of the possibility of you and I starting this bussiness together after getting to know each other because $ is obviously the issue that a lot of us have to deal with and as a result it is difficult to start a bussiness.
An other bussiness I was thinking of starting was a bar/club or some sort of a entertainment bussiness in Colombia since the country is well known for its entertainment out of the Latin American countries. I'm not sure if you're up for that??
Cheers:)

business
I'm going to Colombia soon and I hope that I don't have to come back anymore... I'm planning on starting a business as well, I was thinking about opening a guest house, but a bar/club might work as well. I'm hoping to buy an existing business maybe in Taganga (small beach village getting more popular with tourists all the time) and that is what I will be mainly looking for when I go down there. I could use a partner so if there is any interest in these kinds of ventures or any other good business ideas you can email me at anttionline at yahoo.com
