Interest in videos on pbh?

Hi all,
as some of you may know, I'm pretty active in this whole video online thing that's going on. I love to see videos made by real people.

So I'm wondering, would there be interest in a video section on this site? You could upload your videos, and they'd show up on the site.

It could be only home-made videos. Not copies of stuff you download somewhere. I'd be very strict about that.

But that's much more interesting anyway. What I'd love to see is little short videos that you all make while in Colombia, to get a feel for the flavour of the country.. video is really good at that...

So my question is:
1. What do you think?

2. If it were relatively easy, would you have any videos you'd want to upload here? They could come straight from your camera. Even a little digital photocamera makes great videos these days.

3. Other comments?

Actually I have some old little videos I made with my digital pocket photocamera that'd be cool to upload here ;) To get stuff started.. Just some streetscenes and such.

That would be great, but you have to have some very strict guidelines, first how long the Video have to be, and I don't want to be spoil sport but to be careful or restrict that some individuals don't start to show their "Conquest" like they do in their Image Gallery.

Great idea!, but... I don't think that it's worth the hassle of you writing the software to manage them and spending the money to host them. How about you simply make a videos link in the left nav that takes us to a page that allows us to submit links to our videos on youtube, google video etc. ? This would be a great resource in itself... a consolidator of Colombian-themed multimedia avail on the internet.

1. Nice idea, as long as the site doesn't suffer from too much bandwidth.
2. Personally, I wouldn't. I uploaded mine to YouTube and have a link in my signature. Otherwise it would mean uploading them again... and not all those clips are good.
