I see everyone alway brings up this Hotel. I look it up on Yahoo travel and see it is around $140.00 USD a night. How much is the cost if you were to go there and book it at the counter, rather than online. I know when you book it online you are going to pay more. Any info would be great!

flaleo says on May 18, 2005, 05:12: Go to the company's website and book direct through them, as yahoo adds a fee and/or doesn't have access to best price. I seem to remember it being well under US$90/night (before hidden fees like guest fee, taxi fees, etc.). If you're not a gringo you may avoid some of these fees, as I've seen them do a job on gringos.

Lomax says on May 18, 2005, 05:21: Show up fee will be more expensive Best price via Company's website. Please note that price will increase the longer you wait (and the closer you will be to your date of arrival). This is system Intercontinental uses. Although never tried myself, I have the view that the price on show up will be more expensive. In connection therewith, Intercontinental Cali usually has a lot of reservations and the place is usually filled. I will not stay there anymore since I did not find the service that good and the sheets were really not soft.

Peter Miami says on May 19, 2005, 07:49: Website is cheaper The website is http://www.ichotelsgroup.com/ because it is part of a bigger hotel chain. Also if you book two weeks ahead of time you could pick up the room that cost $140.00 USD for about $80 to $90 USD. But trust me there is a big difference staying at the Intercontinental as opposed to other hotels. Air conditioning, hot water, security, great service, close to good restaurants, malls, clubs/bars, churches. I have stayed at different hotels in Cali and Medellin but buy far the Intercontinental is the best that I have found in Colombia
