Well, that would be up to the individual. It's just that there is a lot of resources needed to host a live IM feature. You could just embed a third party solution, but that is a whole other pain.

The thing I've never liked about the PM feature is that it reveals the email of the sender. It would be nice to have the option to hide the email and just show the sender's handle.

Truth be told i think the "combat zone" is a great idea. I believe it would eliminate and definitely shorten many of the threads here on PBH. My only request would be that it be mod free and not moderated. The participants could go at it with the gloves off.

on Facebook they have a pretty cool feature. at the bottom right side of the screen it tells you what friends are online and you can chat with them. The only ones I see are the ones that are my friends list. I'm not sure but I think most Fems on the site would not mind chaqtiing with people that they have confirmed as friends. Its a quick feature and no downloads. Thats why I thought it would be a pretty cool feature on PBH
