Inoculations in Colombia?

Is it possible to get yellow fever, malaria, etc, inoculations from a private physician while visiting in a city like Cartagena?

In Panamá it is necessary to go to some government agency with irregular hours, in some Godforsaken location in Panama City, because normal docs can not get the vaccines.

You can get a yellow fever vaccination at any Cruz Roja. As for the anti-milarials, I've never needed a prescription at a Colombian pharmacy, but I don't know that they would ordinarily stock mefloquine (or whatever). I don't see why they wouldn't.

Cool, thanx. Anti-malarial is not injected? Cruz Rojo (Red Cross?) is an agency, like The American Red Cross?

You can buy doxycycline in any farmacy - they may give you a funny look though as it is used to treat std's in colombia.

Investment Strategy - buying when others are crying!! Offloading when others are gloating!!!

You can get innoculated against yellow fever at the Puesto de Sanidad Portuaria at Eldorado Airport and possibly at the airport in Cartagena as well.

On hell-of-a lot cheaper here. Remember there is a "down time"before it becomes effective-something like two weeks. Malaria try doxycycline or mefloquine-both OTC in Colombia
