Ingrid will be interviewed on Larry King tonight

It seems that CNN is beginning to smell a rat in the rescue and is asking some questions.

sloopskipper: You have reached that conclusion because he's going to interview Betancourt?

I don't think it's necessary to "smell rats" in order for, I don't know, probably dozens of news media outlets wanting to interview Betancourt.

No, juancegomez, that was from a CNN reporter in Bogotá this morning (talking about the speculations about $s).

I think is 9PM EDT, 8 Colombia time.

juancegomez says on Jul 9, 2008, 11:31:

Your message didn't exactly make that clear, considering we are talking about Larry King's interview, and it would be interesting to know what he said, exactly, in his own words.

If he said that some people are questioning the rescue, he'd just be reporting a fact and doing his job. If he said "I smell a rat" or something similar, then the situation looks very different, don't you think?

The interview alone, however, means nothing either way.

sloopskipper says on Jul 9, 2008, 11:32:

Yeah, sorry, that is a bit confusing, but the reporter was talking about the possibilty that FARC was maybe paid.

I would have recorded it, but was too late as it was partly over when I noticed what was being said.

I will record it to DVD, but I doubt it will anything more than bullshit.

Sloopskipper,

"No, juancegomez, that was from a CNN reporter in Bogotá this morning." But you have posted the thread, and the comment above does not quotations so it appears that you said it.
Anyway, every TV network would like to have an interview with Ingrid and ther rest, it's commom media psyche.

That was my comment, the reporter's statment was not quite that strong, but he mentioned the speculation.

If the FARC was paid, then why did Cesar and the other FARC leader get on the helicopter and now the US wants them extradited? The person being paid was the ex FARC turncoat....or Cesar and this other guy are going to be extradited to be paid the money and live the good life in Miami Dade? or Aspen? Jackson Heights?

Somebody is getting some $$ out of this....?

I am not going to watch for I have had enough of Ingrid. I would like to hear some of the other hostages both American and Colombian..other than Ingrid.

Ingrid, go away already you were not the only one kidnapped!
