I received recently a mail from my Agency, does anybody know anything about this ?

El 26 de junio entrará en vigor la medida, que obliga a los extranjeros abajo mencionados a ingresar a los Estados Unidos con pasaporte electrónico o, en su defecto, visado. Las transportadoras que violen la medida serán multadas con USD 3.300 por pasajero.
Integran el referido programa 27 naciones: Alemania, Andorra, Australia, Austria, Bélgica, Brunei, Dinamarca, Eslovenia, España, Finlandia, Francia, Holanda, Inglaterra, Islandia, Irlanda, Italia, Japón, Lichtenstein, Luxemburgo, Mónaco, Nueva Zelanda, Noruega, Portugal, San Marino, Singapur, Suecia y Suiza.
Si Usted es nacional de alguno de los anteriores países y reside en Colombia, debe ir a su embajada a realizar al cambio de pasaporte.

sandramoreno80 says on Jun 22, 2005, 14:17: Yeah it is true, your passport must be machine readable ie. it must have 2 lines of numbers, letters and symbols at the bottom of the personal details page, which will transfer the data when the entry agent swipes the passport. This has been around for a while now in the UK, though there are some old passports around and they have to get a visa from the embassy in London if they want to go to to the US or just change their passport for a new one.
