Hello. I am planning to enroll in EAFIT in Medellin because the classes are held on campus which is a big plus. The only concern about Medellin I have is nightlife is nonexistant Sun-Wed, and lack of high-end New York/Miami/Buenos Aires style night clubs/lounges.
What's Bogota like comparing to Medellin, and is there spanish instruction in a university located in Bogota (similar to EAFIT)?
I remember reading a thread related to the subject but can't find it now. Any info or links to old threads is appreciated. Thanks in advance.

Rubiazo says on Jun 14, 2006, 00:39: Cosmopolitan... Well, for restaurants, there are Korean Thai Japanese and Chinese restraurants, Jewish delis and stores, tapas bars, continental cuisine and the like, but definitely not the variety of some other big cities.

tfrvra says on Jul 23, 2006, 15:45: Cuban community in Bogota??? Rubiazo, you mentioned that there is a significant Cuban community in Bogota? I'm really missing my Cuban friends (not to mention Cuban style salsa) and would love to connect with the Cuban community here, but I haven't been able to find any Cubans. Do you or anyone have any ideas on how to connect with the Cuban community in Bogota? I'm not sure if the consul is the way to go, or word of mouth. Any help would be appreciated.

Universidad Nacional is one of the best too, but Los Andes I think would suit your preferences when it comes to socializing and hitting the nicer upper class, SLIGHTLY more cosmopolitan lifestyle you are looking for. Im sure youll find nightlife great at first, but like everything else, it gets old pretty quick...My first six months were partying hard everytime i had the chance to, but now I dont even bother...at least not that often anyway...And this NEVER happens when in London, so im not growing old...nightlife in bogota tends to be quite limited.
