INDY F1 GRAND PRIX

I'd love to go this June to Indianapolis, and cheer for our paisano JP Montoya, however I'd like to know if any of you folks have been there before and if you know where the Colombian crowd usually sits, what's a good spot to get tickets for, etc, etc....any advice is more than welcome! TXS

Don't waste your time with Indy it is the worst F1 race out there. Of course if you have an extra ticket...

Have you considered the Montreal GP? It's been voted on numerous occasions the best organized GP by teams and pilots as well as journalists. This year it takes place on June 10th, 11th and 12th

Unfortunately, probably more expensive then the Indianapolis because of its record crowds.

Also, depending on how long you stay, there is The jazz festival 3 weeks later

It's from June 30th to July 10th this year.

Ooops.

Oh, I take it all back, if Dan Quayle is from there. ;-)

Laporte that sounds a bit too French, better change it to something more American. And any town that is named after SpongeBob SquarePant's pet snail .... need I say more.

At least Florida is a Spanish name so those pesky Latin immigrants can't screw up the name. ja ja

PS: GIB won't mind because I used the phrase "no offense", that makes it all alright. Anyway who knew he was from Indiana.

INDIANA VS DELAWARE GIB you probably liked Indiana, as much as I'm loving Delaware !!!! any of you folks around Northern Delaware? I'm probably the first COlombian to set foot on good ol' New Castle !

F1 Unfortunatey, Indianapolis hasn't been the same since the CART / IRL fiasco in 1996.
As far as F1 goes, there are much better venues, including Montreal...

True, but you are going for the overall show, the smells the sounds, the fashions etc. I love F1 but....

I will never forget my first visit to a NHRA event. I had never heard anything quite so loud as when a TF dragster seats the clutch, or experienced the smell of nitro fumes that will make your eyes and lungs burn. I am surprised the OSHA people haven't banned folks from the pit area. When the cars go past you can't focus your eyes because the intense sound makes the liquid in your eyes vibrate.

Watching such events on TV is nothing like really being there, even if you only see one corner.
