The Arhucos export coffee today to Canada, Europe and Japan. The project was possible thanks to the help from the agency Caja de Herramientas.
The Arhuco people and Tayrona Indigenous Confederation export coffee from the Sierra Nevada de Santa Marta (snowed peak) through sustainable methods, which translated in its obtaining the organic product certification from the French firm Eco-Cert. The economic gain from the product will benefit the indigenous community directly.

Gator says on Feb 23, 2006, 07:35: Great Coffee... and the one we buy is Café Sierra Nevada. The coffee mentioned as grown by the Arhuaco's is Condor de la Sierra. No chemicals whatsoever. The best coffee I have ever tasted next to true Jamacian Blue Mountain. "Brevior Sltare Cum Deformibus Mulieribus Est Vita!" . 0 funny, 0 helpful. |
