utopiacowboy says on Aug 30, 2004, 14:13: I never got any immunizations. Drank the water too which is not something I do in Mexico. Disclaimer: any comment I make is inane and is not to be taken seriously, and is so patently ridiculous that no one should take it seriously, even as an insult. 0 funny, 0 helpful. |

Mr. Hollywood says on Aug 30, 2004, 15:14: Where are you going? It all depends on where you're going. For example, if you're just going to Bogota there's no need for Yellow Fever.

ShazCas says on Aug 30, 2004, 15:22: Immunisations The ones I listed were the ones I was given, but then, I was going to live in Colombia for a few years and travel all around the place. It was also useful for me as I have been travelling a lot since in South America, and if you like travelling, Yellow Fever lasts for 10 years and so do some of the others when topped up, like Hep B, which is a very important immunisation to have, generally.

Gator says on Aug 30, 2004, 18:52: Hunter % Mr Hollywood are Correct-make sure you have those and I would not worry about yellow fever or malaria unless you plan on being below say 4000 ft. Make SURE to check the CDC web site and allow sufficient time for the immunization to become effective. "Credidi pretio parvo emere et magno vendere tibi in animo fuisse!" . 0 funny, 0 helpful. |

daver says on Aug 30, 2004, 19:25: ...get the shots ShazCas listed... you probably won't need them, but if you do, and you didn't get them, then you'd wished you had. If your in a place where you can get them for a reasonable amount of money, than do it.

emilyh says on Aug 31, 2004, 00:07: If you go from Australia I don't know where you're from, but if you go from Australia you have to have the Yellow Fever injection because they ask to see the certificate if you are coming back from South America or Africa when you go through customs.
