I'm finally leaving! Colombia here I come!

Yeah I still can't believe that this is my last day here and It feels bloody wonderful that after 12 years of being away I’m finally going back!! you don't know how happy I am right now but most of all full of excitement and nervous too, nervous for expecting too much I know that nothing will be the same but I’m just glad that I’m going and that I have been given this amazing opportunity, my head is spinning I’m going round in circles and I have a cold sweat I’m nervous yeah of course I am! but it's more excitement than anything else it feels just like when I was expecting my baby and before I gave birth it was scary but exciting at the same time and that's exactly how I feel, I pray to god that everything will be OK and that I can have a good time I am looking forward to visiting my brother's grave as well as my grandparents' it's a sad thought knowing that the people I left there are no longer alive or may be not the same as they used to be but I’m happy that I am finally able to see what's left and to see how my country has changed whether for good or bad I’m just glad to be going nothing beats this feeling it's such an amazing feeling of accomplishment it’s just unbelievable I have no words to describe how I feel.

This will probably be my last thread for the time being but I will post some pictures when I’m there, I will also keep you posted on how I got on… wish me luck guys!!

wake up I have given some advice to MRs Gomez leaving food out for hours is a latin thing and a fact. Anyone that has children knows very well that the last thing they want is for their child to get food poisoning. Also it is a fact that Colombian culture has no real safety standards that are upheld and things like a child falling from one floor to another in some shopping cities is a very real reality. Why do people have such a big problem with this. I am not saying there is something wrong with the country

Kerry, I think you should stop letting your kids play in the street. They might get run over.

Kerry. Children climb trees, children fall from trees, you are out of your tree. Does your mummy know that you converse with adults, did you have treatment for that nasty bump that you had on your head?

This delusional schizoid paranoia that allows your brain to think that you are a normal human being, please tell us all what your ‘voices ‘ say to you. Do they ever tell you to piss off as the rest of us do?

Why do you keep repeating the same garbage over and over again? Lets face it, no one ever takes any notice of you the first time you post, it is unlikely that they will listen to similar cut and pasted crap the second time around.

Did it ever occur to you that Mrs Gomez is Colombian? God knows what planet you fell from but I suspect that she knows more of Colombia than you could ever hope to.

I really enjoy having my little pleasant chats with you, really I do. It relieves the tensions in me that have built up over the week. I usually have to put up with your kind of verbose drivel on a day to day basis from people who are by comparison to you, genius. You on the other hand to them would be considered a bug.

There. I feel much better now

Same time, same place next week?

Señora Gómez! Mrs Gomez, I wish you all the best and good luck, I know you are going to have a marvellous time and I hope your kids like it too, the world will be different for them, but im sure they will love it, as my cousin took his kids for the first time to Cali last Christmas after 13 years and they didnt want to come back, they were just talking about theirs friends of the cuadra or "del barrio". Do as much as you can, make the best of it and take lots of pictures and share them with us. I am exciting too as i'l be going to Pereira soon. Lorena xx
