Just had an idea that I think might be a nice addition to PBH.
Lots of members have Colombia related photo blogs and other websites that are hosted off site. Many of these sites we only hear mention of when a member posts a link and it is forgoten unless one bookmarks the page. It would be nice to be able to have a hyperlink to these sites (non-commercial and tasteful)available from the member's account page. So for example I click on Tinto's name and can see his image gallery if there is one, but also a link to his website.
What do you guys and gals think, is it a worthwhile addition?

Gomezman5 says on Jun 20, 2005, 07:37: Good idea Kernow and Tinto I think that as PBH members get "to know" each other, and because we really never really get to know each other personally, something that allows us to give some more info about each other, would allow us to get a better idea who each of us are. Does that make sense? (a lot of "to knows")

That way we don't have to do an search everytime we want info on hotels in Cali or new posters wouldn't post,"hotel in Cali questions".

kernow62 says on Jun 28, 2005, 06:06: The Google ad etc. is what pays the bills to keep this forum going, without those there wouldn't be a forum. I am sure if Peter was inundated with cash from all of us he could remove them, or if it was made into a pay to view site. The latter would ruin the site because new people would never join until they could participate fully.

Condorlisa Arroz says on Jun 28, 2005, 19:51: Ig google ads are the ones which regularly prevent the page from loading then I would kick them out. With respect to the cost: It costs less than 100$ per YEAR to have a 20GB webpage with 400GB file transfer per month. See: canaca.com If every member here would pay one cent then the money would already be back in. And 100$ per year, thats really no money we should argue about. It often says searching... that Google rubbish and there it stays, searching the server and the page does not continue to load. I find the best web pages the ones without all those annoying ads.
