I want to teach English in Colombia...

Hi everyone. I am a new member and I just wanted to congratulate you guys on a great site. I am 22 years old from Bogota Colombia and i've been living in Toronto Canada for 16 years. I've been back to visit a couple of time but they have been short stays. I am now looking into possibly teaching english as a second language either in Bogota or Medellin. I think it would be a great profession for me right now and I want to enjoy all that i've been missing from my beautiful country. I have a few of questions if you guys could help me out it would be really great..

1. On average how much would a TESL job over there pay? Were are the classes usually held and whom would I teach (adults, kids)?

2. How much would an apartment cost for myself?

3. When i went the last few times it seemed that EVERYONE wanted to get a good look at me... They seem to be alble to notice right away that I am not from there and that i have money....How big of a problem do you see this? Would Medellin be more suitable do you think than Bogota due to it's more modern lifestyle (I've never been to Medellin)?

4. Does anyone know how much a house maid goes for?
