Can I buy an american style Bar-B-Que in Colombia? I've never seen one, and when I ask, no one seems to understand. I love to bar-b-que and would love to have one there. The ones I have seen have a very shallow pan for the coal with no cover, and while servicable, not as versatile as the ones here. Is this what is avail there or is there something else? I can send a small charcoal one , or a larger gas grill in parts. I even thought of building one after I get settled, but that could be a while.
If I send a gas grill, would there be any reason I could not use the colombian gas bottle and regulator? (when I lived in Italy, we had to change the orifice on the regulator, but that was years ago.) Help me out guys...what are my alternatives.

The ones made out of 50 gallon drums are great for bigger parties. I want to build a brick BBQ with a lowerable grill. Alfred E. Newman. "What. Me Worry?" 0 funny, 0 helpful. |

I've searched all over and didn't think there was a homecenter site! It took the focus off the BBQ for a while. I have really been needing to know about prices of good tools etc. I can spend hours looking at this stuff- no one can top this (for me). And, by the way, building my own is NOT out of the question. Me with a torch and welder- what an introduction to the neighborhood! Break them in right at the very beginning!

The Exito is maybe 4 months from completion. The Homecenter should be at least partially open this month. The first is in English, the second is in Spanish but you must use Spanish in the search box on either page. http://www.gringoincolombia.com/links.htm http://www.gringoincolombia.com/links_es.htm
