I Need Translator / Helper in Barranquilla

Where to Start,

I live in the USA, Seattle, and I meet a Woman on the internet who lives in Barranquilla. My Spanish, well sucks. Her English, well it also sucks. I am looking for somebody who lives in BAQ that I could hire to translate and help me out a little bit. It would be nice if I could trust him/her on their opinions. Any chance anyone could help me would be fabulous.

There is a very viable solution for you...

...Learn Spanish -- it's as simple as that.

Perhaps there is not enough time before you head down to Colombia, but at some point, you will HAVE to speak Spanish. Whether this is with your friend, or the Immigration officials waiting for you when you get off of the airplane.

There are very inexpensive materials, or even free if you head to the library, that will help you to learn the language.

I can say from experience -- not only will this expand your mind, help you to become more familiar with Latin culture -- but it will also impress the heck out of her ;-)

Better yet -- make it a point to learn Spanish, ask her to learn English. For every conversation you have with her, switch languages -- you speak Spanish, she speaks English. It will be a character building experience for the both of you.
