hi all,
I'm new to this site. My names John and I'm 23 years old. I'm going to Banranquilla primarily for business because i work for my father but while i'm there I would mind hooking up with a local if shes worth it. My friends keep telling how amazing the women are so im going to see what the big deal is. I've never really met someone of latin origin because here in the UK there are hardly any if not no latinas. Its seems there are alot of people writing discussions of older men for younger women but what about younger men for young women? do women generally pick older guys over younger ones?

I'm going to try like hell to get down there a week earlier because Traveler is staying at Pete's place and I want to shoot some models with him.

babygirl says on Feb 1, 2005, 19:15: Kwame Charles, go, have fun, be cool, the people are awesome (both guys & girls), the music's hot, the beer's cheap, aquadiente rocks, forget about age, don't pick fights..hahahahaa (just teasing), but the most violent thing that I saw in Cartagena (I know you're not going there but I think where you are going is fairly touristy as well?) was a lady that was hammered out of her mind fighting with some kid in a night club. i've seen a heck of a lot worse after a night of clubbing in downtown toronto, just bring your common sense with you. babygirl says on Feb 1, 2005, 19:20: PS: You don't sound insecure at all to me, based on reading these discussions myself, I would have come to the same conclusion about older men/younger latinas. Seems to be a common theme on here. Canadian Girls Kick Ass! 0 funny, 0 helpful. |

N2Aquatix says on Feb 2, 2005, 06:33: Wussup Kwame C? I've only been one time, but I didn't see any violence whatsoever, just a bunch of people all dancing the same dance when they got lit. Hahaha!!! But then again, I tend to be a friendly person until the opposite is warranted. As far as the guys and gals thing, I don't think it matters if you're old or young as long as you got something going on for yourself other than treating women like crap. The latinas in that town do seem to have a thing for gringos though. Enjoy!!!

ARMacleod says on Feb 6, 2005, 05:18: Hi john, 23? John, I have no reason to doubt you but I think there is a hidden agenda here. When you say that there are no Latinos in the UK? In your words "because here in the UK there are hardly any if not no Latinas". (Latinos) The brain is like a parachute, it only functions correctly when it is open. Kwame Charles says on Feb 6, 2005, 10:58: MR James VH. Perhaps I didnt explain myself well enough. I don't know what part of England or the UK you come from but where I am from I can safely say there are no hispanics living there. There are some white people like myself, some people of indian or pakistan origin, some blacks like my mate david whose going with me to colombia to close this deal but no hispanics. I dont know how familiar you are with geography but I live in Henley, near Reading. A very small town not a village, very quite, very peaceful and hardly any violence (I mean the local police close at 5:30). The only two people closist to latin origin I have ever met is from one lady from Spain in Almera and a man from Portugal that owns the fish and chips shop. Now I do know of one chap that called Mike Grojer and his friends that went to BOgota and cali for holidays. I personally have always wanted to visit a South American country but I have never had the time or excuse to go because of my line of work. I am a Roman Catholic as well so it would be nice to visit a country that is catholic and observe and get to know how there culture is. Now I never ever hear good things about colombia especially from the news and that has caused alot of fear. but since i joined this forum it has eased some of that fear. Now i did say I am going there because of business which is true. We are a Venture capital coropation called Collins LTD which give loans or capital to people all over the world who need it and in return they give us a high percentage of their. shares. It is not all about women(I mean i have not like secretly joined a dating agency and is just asking questions). I am going there with a business partner and a friend and I am concerned mostly for him because he is black and I'm not to sure how tolerent or intolerent they are for coloured people. Its not like here in England where by you can put some one in jail if they come out with racist comments. I wanna make sure he is taken care of. Since we are going to be there for a while and since Mike has told me such wonderful things about the people and women then why should we halt ourselves from trying to make another woman happy if I can.

Hunter says on Feb 6, 2005, 11:07: Kwame Charles There is rasism in Colombia, certain areas are worse than others, but you are going to Baq, which is on the coast whre there are more black people. Generally its not the same sort of in your face rasism as you will find in the UK, its more related to many black people finding it harder to get better jobs and things along those lines, so this is not going to affect your friend.

N2Aquatix says on Feb 8, 2005, 03:56: Barranquilla Hi Charles. I just went to Barranquilla last November. What else would you like to know about the place? I enjoyed it very much, although some Colombians from other regions seem to have a disdain for the city. They consider it to be hot, but I think that's just because air conditioning is not very common down there. Here in the states, people often vacation on the coast and retire there as well because of the temperate climate. Someone in one of the other threads sarcastically told me that Colombians don't even vacation there. I wonder if he realizes that a lot of people other than Colombians do vacation there. Oh well, if you want to test my logic just look at the exchange rates and it will become obvious that there are a lot more US Dollars in Barranquilla. Exchange your money in Bogota, where the Colombian peso is much more predominant. The difference in the exchange rates is pretty profound. ;-)
