I've been to Cali many times...for a few weeks or shoter times .Now I,m coming for at least 2 months ,probably longer and will probably obtain a business visa in Miami so I can live there for extended periods. I'm looking for a furnished place in or near Versalles or Pacara..or somewhere in the north. Does anyone have any ideas...thanks ahead of time.

billyb says on Jul 13, 2008, 16:25: JP, it is across the sexta from Versalles, up on the hill just north of Granada. It is strato 6. You can walk to Versalles from there no problem.

jpseast says on Jul 13, 2008, 17:16: Thank you Monita...I'll be sure to look out for Gringo droppings should I wander through Chipichape ( am I on the right track ?) . Personally I prefer La 14 de Calima or El Centro...you know when when in Rome do as the Romans:)....I like the area of Versalles because I have friends nearby and am beginning to know my way around ..seems like a good place to start . Monita what part of town are you in and if I'm not mistaken are you also in the rental biz?

Monita Linda says on Jul 13, 2008, 17:32: El centro is not really safe for foreigners, try to stay away from there unless you must. Poor but Preppy 0 funny, 0 helpful. |

billyb says on Jul 14, 2008, 06:35: jp, talk about coincidences, just yesterday it got rented. But there has been so much new construction in Cali, that there are for rent signs all over the place. Your best option would be to stay in a hotel for the first couple of days, so you can have a chance to look around and see which 'hoods you like best and get to look at a lot of different apts before you make a choice.
