I met Hebert Vargas last night

the famous vallanato singer ended up singing at my place last night as he is a close friend of the owner of the paramilitary/mafioso bar next door and they did a surprise show. That bar got so packed before the show, they asked me if they could set the band up on my restauant´s patio which is adjacent to the bar. No problem as it brought me over a millon in business in about 2 hours between food for their patrons and my clients that sat and drank/ate on my patio to watch the show from behind, so who was I to complain. Hebert was very down to earth as we shared a few drinks after the show and he asked me all the typical questions that Colombians ask gringos like "why Colombia?","what do you think of the women?", etc.

The people at that bar and I have a really good relationship and it´s a rare relationship that we keep it win-win but I surely don´t want to be out front if someday there´s a major drive-by by some up and comers.
