Bowling is simply one of those facets of (Norte)Americana that I feel I must share with my friends in Medellin, but thus far have been unable to impress them with through the use of words alone. Obviously this is probably one crazy request, but are there any bowling alleys in all of Medellin? Colombia? South America?

Robert Jorge says on Sep 17, 2007, 20:16: I know nothing about Medellin, but even Villavicencio has a bowling alley. It is only 6 or 8 lanes, but it is there. Bogota has to have bowling alleys, because Mrs. RJ bowled once in the past when she was growing up in Bogota. So, I am sure Medellin must have bowling somewhere. Have you tried tejo? I love bowling, but if they had tejo here in the US, I would trade in my ball for a couple of tejos and bust up some mechas. Tejo is like horseshoes with explosives ... gotta love that. And, typically, drinking is actually a requirement to play tejo at a tejo club or park. --"I believe in making the world safe for our children. The very first bowling alleys in colombia. Nice place and really cheap. Robert Jorge says on Sep 18, 2007, 10:44: So, bowling in Colombia is considered an upper-class diversion? Does that make tejo the working man's game? Kind of like bowling is in the US? --"I believe in making the world safe for our children. spigrimace says on Sep 18, 2007, 16:36: Just be careful as the maintanence isn´t that good. I went a few years back in Monterrey and on the first throw, at my release, I came to an unexpected screeching halt as there was no wax and almost ripped my knee apart. Everyone laughed. It wasn´t funny. I was in pain.
