Just show the Colombian one, I think that's easiest. Then when you leave, also show the Colombian one, and when you get back in the USA, show the American one.

However, it's possible that the fact that there are not stamps in your US passport might raise problems, although I don't think so. Anyone else?

you have no choice in the matter... if you're born in colombia, they will want your colombian passport and cedula. end of story.

Colombian law requires that you enter Colombia with your Colombian passport. One of my children was born in Colombia.

If you were born in the US, then use your US passport. It will save you some of the exit taxes when leaving Colombia.

I have dual citizenship yet I always use my US passport to enter and then just use my cedula in country.

Peace,

Use you US passport and keep your Colombian passport to yourself. I see many COlombian using that blue passport in line at the airport. If you plan on staying and working here you definantly want to use your US Passport to show that you have been out of the country. After a year you get a tax break but only if you can show it on your US passport. I bet you don't have a cedula so that will be a hasle for you not to mention if you get hassled about your military service for using the Colombian one. Just use the blue one.
