Okay. good. I'll stick with then.... 'roadblocks' between Tuquerres and Pasto. Maybe the people are out demonstrating in Pasto, seeming as some of them many times feel more threatened, being surrounded on all sides by Farc and not so far away in Samaniego, by ELN bad-asses.

I didn't get specifics. I only called to see if she had returned home and, I didn't have alot of time, as I was beginning work. I just repeated what she said in short. She was suppose to be home in Pasto yesterday. And, I didn't have time to assess weather she thought she would be able to go today. I think she said, she wasn't really sure when... just waiting day by day.

So,... I know something is up, down there. But, it can and probably will be over in a day or two. The roads unblocked. I asked, and the roads were not blocked with earth from mudslides and rain. It was the other alternative.....guerrillas. She sounded fine. Tranquil.... Just ... on hold. Waiting to get back to Pasto and a couple sons.

Don't worry too much G.S. My first trip to Colombia, all 10 days of it, saw the roads shut down in the small city of Bogota for 3 days. (public transportation drivers went on strike and then rioted). It seems shutting down transportation routes is a tactic by both the government and the public. Imagine the Interstate Hwy System getting shut down in the US! But in Colombia, it happens all the time. It is just ... well, normal M.O.
