It is aptly named ‘Famous Last Words'.
Two of the entries notably are from Simon Bolivar, the other is attributed to Pablo Escobar. The first is (Simon) "Put my baggage in the boat lads, we are not welcome here" I have tried a little research but cannot find out any more other than the fact that he was in exile? I thought he was a national hero?
The other (Herr Pablo) "I am going to put the phone down now..... There is something funny going on"!
Where may I get the Simon bolivar story?
A couple of others are worth a giggle.
1. American General Sedgewick during the civil war, "They could not hit an elephant at this dist............"
2. King George V. Loudly, "BUGGER BOGNOR".
3. Sir Alfred Mc Alpine (The building tycoon) "Keep Paddy behind the big mixer"
4. Palmerston, British Prime Minister, "Die! That's the last thing that I shall do"
5. American, James W Rogers. Before being shot in 1960. His last request "A bullet proof vest please" This was apparently denied him.
