Nobody advised me to do anything I just don't like to offend people for the hell of it. I'm not that bored or evil and I made a mistake by making generalizations about the subject, that's all. I have friends in real life that I talk to and care about so if you guys don't like my comments and I don't like it here I can always go somewhere else. I agree Queens has changed a lot but I still love it here, my husband doesn't like me going there because he thinks is dangerous but I don't care, I love Roosevelt I kind of feel closer to my Colombia.

utopiacowboy I hope you were kidding. I am not sure how old you are, or what circles your in but the reality is that especially in the U.S. and Europe a large amount of couples meet online. How does that make a female a slut? If that is the case then the US is a nation of sluts because in Colombia most woman are not connected "online", whereas in the US much more are. The internet is the singles bar of the new millenium. Get over it. But I try to put myself in a position of some woman not only in Colombia but other latin american developing nations. Where they have a high proportion of "Machisto" woman battering men to choose from. Maybe a decent looking gringo would not be so bad. I would probably go for the gringo and increase my opportunities for a better life. We all try different ways to make our lives better. Some of us become better educated, but most colombians (especially) do not have that opportunity, so why not try what they can get. I will be honest, I would not want one of those women.

I've met lots of people that I've first met on forums and chatrooms. All of them have been just like they said they were. No misrepresentation whatsoever. Now, I admit, I'm not one to hang out on chats finding a novio on the other side of the globe, but I've made lots of new friends on the net and the ones I've met in real life have been just as I expected them to be.

I know, however, that there's a lot of weird things going on and lots of misrepresentation and bluff, but mostly on dating sites and chats.
