Darloup, we all know CanadaMan here in Colombia section because of his interest in Colombian women before he found his sweetheart in Peru; it's here where his friends are.

Congrats, Canada man, wish you guys all the happiness.

I know three Europeans who have successfully married Peruanas. I've yet to meet a Peruvian that I haven't liked. I wish you well.

CanadaMan/Widower...one bit of hard earned advice. Make sure you support your wife and her relationship with your kids. It can be full of pitfalls.

Of course your situation is different, but the obstacales are still there. In my case I had an EX poisioning my daughter against her step mom. I know of several Gringo/Colombian/Peruvian/Venesuelan couples that have had sever problems due solely to the kids. I am sure that won't be the case for you...just beware and take proactive steps.

when my colombiana first arrived here, my kids thought it was coool as could be, all of a sudden, to have hot, four-course meals being served at 3 in the afternoon! She first came at my own kids with 'arms wide open'.... in genuine manner, that's how she is... and they were a little positively surprisingly shocked! the 'ex-' pays little attention, so they thought she - my colombiana - was just humorously a breath of fresh aire.
