I 134

Hola
info-I am US citz, married Colombiana in Colombia in June 2006, came back and working and filed for the K3 Visa. Wife is still in Colombia. Did all the basic paper work and forms in July.
Last week the US Gov sent me some documents and I sent the US Gov a signed Choice of Agent and Address form and sent in $70 for the Affidavit of Support I-864. My wife just called this week from Colombia and told me she got a packet from Bogota including the I-134. She sent me this by email.
A few questions. On the 134, it says to send Bank information and Statement of employee and salary if employed, I am , I am a teacher. No mention of tax returns or W2 of last 3 years like I read on the posts here. I started working again in August, before that I was a student. I have read I can use my parents as a sponser, but there is no mention for this info for the 134. So is it ok just to send these things they request. Also, what happens next? Does the US Gov send me an I-864 packet, and there is where I use my parents as sponser and sned back to them 3 years of taxes and my parents taxes and bank statents as well? How long does that packet take to get after you pay $70?

A little confusing. My gut says to send with the 134 more information than what they ask, like 3 years of taxes, W2, and bank account info for me and my Parents that will sponser me.

One last question, all this will be in English, what documents do I need a noteria with and do I need to have them translated to Spanish of with an Apostile?

I think I am getting closer to having my wife with me in the US. yeahhhh

thank for your time

I look forward to the responses, because I have a few of the same questions you asked. The only thing I DO know for sure about what you asked, is that you do not need to get anything translated. The US consulate will take documents in Spanish or English. I heard they even prefer Spanish for the papers that are required of the beneficary. But, you are worried about the forms and papers you are turning in, and they can be in English, and are prefered in English. Remember, you are dealing with the US government, not the Colombian. The US still accepts documents in English ... that's supposed to be funny. Rob
