I visit Colombia every month and have become very tired of staying at hotels. I have tried to lease either a house or an apartment in Medellin but everytime I am turned down due to a lack of documents needed.I have even offered to deposit the total lease amount in an "escrow" account but still have problems. I was wondering if anyone knows another way I can perhaps get a lease without all the hassles and then be able to spend more time in the beautiful city of Medellin.

Mr. Hollywood says on Jul 29, 2005, 16:09: Hmmmmm My experience in Bogota is different. I rented an apartment with no Colombian cosigner, no Colombian bank account and only a one month deposit. However, it's in an area where the landlords are familiar with renting to all sorts of crazy foreigners. I imagine there are areas of Medellin where there are high concentrations of expats. Is that where you're looking?
