How to knit a scarf (in Colombia)

SHHHH! This thread is NOT about how to knit a scarf. It is a SECRET thread where PBH women can discuss romance (from a woman's perspective), shiny things, telenovelas and Colombian soldiers in uniform doing pilates. Since I have little to say on any of these topics, much less make them relevant to Colombia, I'm going to quietly bow out at this point. You should do the same. I started it as a public service, but know little about the appeal of shiny objects and the power of Colombian uniforms. Someone more sensitive and open to these issues would make a better moderator. Desi already does an excellent job, and she could also demote this thread to keep it away from prying eyes. I do, in fairness, know a little about Postobón. I have a big chin, like Leno. My sister loves to knit. She made me a scarf. I thought that was very thoughtful.

Carry on. This could be like the time I found myself on a camping trip with about 6 women (before the other guys arrived) who proceeded to get quite drunk and forgot I was there. Man, the things I learned....the details you women go into. Just scary, frankly.

I had a similar experience to pod many years ago when I took six chicas camping in the Adirondacks.

I first thought Krav Maga is not a suitable topic for the delicate ears of womenfolk. But then I remeber local beefcake and PBH member PowWow teaching us that "this may not relate to colombia much but it does because anyone can get thier car smashed up any where and many people feel they need to be careful in colombia and may want to learn some self defence before going. IT does seem that krav maga is good when it comes to disarming someone with a knife and goes in to that exstensively". GIB lectured on the role of krav maga during peinilla attacks. Elmo "Grasshopper" Defoque reminded us that some Colombians are pistoleras. So it's already out in the open. Damage control time.

PowWow also reminds me that many sparkly things are shiny. He's capable of a lot more things than you know! (cite: http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0095953/quotes ) . I'll stick to a gin and tonic.

I honestly don't know what minisigüi are. They were selling them near El Piñol at places that also sold mango verde and candy. The name sticks in my head as the girl I was with kept getting me to pronounce it. I presume it's a type of candy or pastry. No pictures of it exist on the net.
