Only joking hon, it's not impossible but it's a shame you couldn't go together, it depends on who you hang around with, if it's friends you have in common etc you should be fine, but you can't deny you are going to a place where the women are so beautiful you won't be able to ingnore that so of course she's nervous.....it's a question of will power and the places and situations you put yourself in...

Why are you going to Colombia for two months? I mean, business, school, pleasure, a LOT of pleasure? Are you going to stay with friends, family, in a local sorority house? There are a lot of variables.

Colombia can be a very dangerous place (relationship-wise) if you are the least bit inclined to look in the general direction of a Colombiana. In reality, most of the stories are NOT exagerated (although I don't know what stories she's heard).

In all seriousness, if you value your relationship, postpone your trip until you both can go. If not, well, then do whatever you want. Just be prepared to find your stuff in a pile next to the front door when you get back. It might be a good idea to put it in storage while you're gone to save the embarrasment of sifting it out of the dumpster.

Yeah I have heard some pretty bad stories myself, you can go, it's not completely impossible but like C4C said you should think long and hard and if you do decide to go enjoy it, just be extra careful and don't be too friendly...

Sweet160... Off the top of my head, here are some things that will make these 2 months difficult for you two. Think about how you can minimize their effects and perhaps you have a chance.
1. Colombianas - Probably your biggest obstacle. Put blinders on and don't associate with them (ja ja!).
2. New environment - You will be happy, excited, and energized because you are in a new environment. You will want to share all that with her, but understand that she'll feel completely left out and jealous that you're having fun. With the new environment, you'll have new friends that she doesn't know and can't relate to. Don't know if this could help, but you could temper what you say with complaints (as long as they're real).
3. Time zone - Makes it a bit more difficult to communicate easily, especially if one goes to bed early or wakes up late. Do what you can to constantly communicate. Send lots of emails pining for her and expressing your love. Connect via webcam. Ask lots of questions about what's going on back at home to show you still have an interest in "home."

There are probably many other obstacles, but these quickly came to mind. Good luck!

Sweet why are you gonna be in colombia for two months? If I were your gf, id tie you to the bed post and refuse to sign your permission slip. Thats what I'd do with my bf anyway...I suppose its different if its a girl going to colombia on her own, mainly because we truly feel like we are betraying our significant other by sleeping with someone else, but it doesnt seem to work like that inside a guys head...or heads...

I was thinking that people would say that indeed the myth of the powers of Colombianas are a myth but instead you try to make me believe its really true.

Now before I met my GF I have travelled in quite a lot of countries, where women tried to seduce me just because I am from a Western country, mothers tried to give me there daughters, incredible stuff...

But I never took one home, because of many reasons, But you people want to make me believe that Colombianas have the possesion of these magic voodoo Powers which will render me completly powerless.. Sorry but I cant believe that.

In job I meet gorgouous women and now and then I flirt, I like to do that, but I never really cave in...
