you can carry a max. of $10,000 us ...but you will get a very shity exchange rate ( at the bank or exchange house) and run the risk of losing it or being robbed.....use your ATM or cash advance for security and a better exchange rate

1. Very difficult to open a bank account with out a Cédula de ciudadanía or a Cédula de extranjero though it can be done BUT IS IS NOT EASY.

2. As Vic said you can bring in up to $10.000 with out reporting. You can bring in any amount as long as you hake your tail over to customs and make a FULL disclosure.

Wayyyyyyyyyyyy to much cash to bring in on your person There are easier ways to get killed but they escape me at the moment.

No Way. Immediately at least eight locals, all males between 18 and 22, two on motors, would arrive and quickly escort you to a place of safety.

Carrasco............carrying $10,000 is not a problem...........it takes up a tiny space in your pocket..........about the same tiny amount of space that Vic's brain takes up......
