How much is a Colombian passport in Colombia

At the consulate in Houston, they want $100. I don't need one but my wife certainly does.

How much are they in Colombia and how long do they take? I certainly hope it is a lot faster than getting a cedula.

Thanks,
CG

he Cost Is... $80.000.00/90.000 pesos You did not give the city but in Bogotá it is at Calle 100 Nº 17 - 25. Each departmento capitol has an office and usually next day delivery sometimes same day. Try MRE (http://www.cancilleria.gov.co) click on trámites y servicios then on Trámites then on Pasaporte Ordinario. Pasaporte Ordinario will give her all the required documents and the locations in all of the departmentos where passports can be obtained.

I believe that is correct. About 80.000 pesos or so. I hear you about the cedula thing. I applied for my very first cedula in August 06, and its still not ready. Ridiculous

You can get the passport in one day. The US with its passport fiasco could learn a few things from a Third World country. At the rate we're going, we'll be a Fourth World country thanks to Bush and that dickhead Cheney.

Just got a new Colombian passport two weeks ago here in Bogotá at $71.000, no more and no less. Nothing special about it.

It was given to me exactly 1 hour and a half after I entered the passport office, so I sure as heck can't question their efficiency this time either.

Thanks guys,

I looked on the MRE site and they stated the $71.000 price. However, it says that the "Gobernaciones" can charge an additional tax. I tried calling the Gobernacion del Huila in Neiva this afternoon, but they apparently closed early to get drunk and find a horse to ride. I can't imagine that it will be much more if any.

Thanks,
CG
